1 / 4

On October 21-22, the regular sitting of the CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Assembly was held in Saint Petersburg, where the RA NA deputies Hripsime Grigoryan, Lilit Minasyan and Trdat Sargsyan took part.

The key item on the agenda of the meeting was the tourism of the youth in the CIS countries.

Touching upon the viewpoint of the member of the Azerbaijani delegation to make Shushi a tourism centre, the RA NA deputy Hripsime Grigoryan drew the attention of the meeting participants to the double bombing of Saint Ghazanchetsos Church of Shushi on 8 October 2020, the fact of destruction of the statues and cross stones being on the territory of the church. The MP has stressed that the changing of the architectural view of the Church by Azerbaijan very concerning, and its main goal is the concealment of the fact of the monument being Armenian.

Hripsime Grigoryan presented the main directions of the RA tourism state policy and the tourism potential. She invited her colleagues of the CIS member states to take part in the UN Tourism World Organization Forum to be held in Armenia next year.

The Delegation of Armenia did not take part in the debate of the item of electing the Azerbaijani delegate coordinator of the CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Assembly. The coordinator is elected for one-year term.
