At November 10 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the RA Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission Garegin Baghramyan has noted that the regulations related to decisions made by the Commission are clarified by the draft law on Amending the Law on Regulatory Body for Public Services and the package of the enclosed draft laws.
In essence, in case of issues that do not need to be discussed, in order to organize the settlement process more operatively and effectively, the possibility of making decisions of the commission by written voting and the general order of organization have been envisaged, the details of which will be defined by the commission. Regulations related to the oral decision-making were also stipulated. It has also been mentioned that the adoption of the drafts is aimed at improving the capacities to fulfil the constitutional mandate for the protection of public interests of fundamental significance of the commission.
The legislative package will be debated in 24-hour regime by the decision of the Committee.
The deputies endorsed the package of draft laws.
