On November 12, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Sisak Gabrielyan and the Committee members met with the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra Eduard Topchjan.

Sisak Gabrielyan highly appreciated the contribution of the conductor, who performed with more than 50 famous orchestras, in the development of classical music.

During the discussion, the interlocutors touched upon the obstacles to the development of classical music in Armenia, as well as the steps aimed at overcoming them.

The Honored Artist dreams of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra being on the list of top orchestras in the world. According to him, the dream is close to come true.

The prominent conductor, who always has new ideas, interesting and exclusive projects, is concerned about the continuity of music schools and music education. It has been underlined that it should become an obligatory part of the state cultural policy.

Highlighting the urgency of the discussed issues, Sisak Gabrielyan has noted that the Committee is ready to support the implementation of all initiatives that contribute to the rise of culture in the framework of his authorities.
