On March 14, the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security convened a working debate. The item on Amending the Law on Weapons was on the agenda.

Let us note that the law was passed in 1998, and after the adoption of the law no key amendment was made. During the several years a necessity emerged to modernize it. Hence, the RA NA deputy Vilen Gabrielyan proposed to make amendments to the draft law.

After the discussions with the relevant departments the draft law will be put in circulation.

The debate was held in closed format.
