Certificates Handed to Participants of Course Organized Within Framework of Modern Parliament for a Modern Armenia Project

The employees of the RA NA Expertise and Analytical Department (Research and Training Center) took part in the series of workshops facilitated the UNDP Modern Parliament for a Modern Armenia Project (MAP).

On March 15, the Certification Awarding Ceremony took place to mark the successful completion of these workshops and the initial set up phase of the MAP project support to the Expertise and Analytical Department (Research and Training Center).

Congratulating the participants, the NA Chief of Staff-Secretary General Vahan Naribekyan expressed readiness to support the continuous implementation of the project.

MP, the MAP project Focal Point from the RA NA President's Office - Hripsime Grigoryan, has noted that this is a component of a bigger project for the increase and development of the NA capabilities, implemented by the UNDP MAP project and made possible with the support by the Government of Sweden – Swedish International Development Cooperation (SIDA) and the Embassy of the United Kingdom, UK Good Governance Fund (GGF). According to Hripsime Grigoryan, the project also has other components, and its aim is to make the RA NA more accessible and open for our citizens. It is directed to the development of the capabilities of the NA deputies and the Staff.

The UNDP Governance Portfolio Analyst, Vahan Asatryan, highlighted the work with the Expertise and Analytical Department (Research and Training Center) and expressed hope that during the years the Project will expand, and the capabilities of the staff will further improve.
