Extensive Amendments to Law are Envisaged

At the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport held on March 15, the draft law on Amending the Law on Preschool Education was debated in the first reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan has noted that the need for amendments is conditioned by the problems that have emerged during the use of the law.

It is proposed to recognize the regulation related to establishment of a separate order for correction factors of preschool institutions as invalid.

According to Zhanna Andreasyan, extensive amendments to the law are envisaged in the field of preschool education, which will reflect the changes in the state policy, bringing it into line with the already existing strategic directions.

The RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports provided clarifications on the state standards of preschool education, the standards of general education of the revised definitions.

The revised draft law was endorsed.
