The parliament debated in the first reading the addenda and amendments being proposed to the laws on State Pensions and on State Benefits.

The Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Davit Khachatryan informed that in case of the adoption of the draft law the separate regulations of the laws on State Pensions and on State Benefits would be specified, as well as the problems emerged during the enforcement of the laws would also be solved. It is designed to make reforms in the sphere of pension, as well as reserve authorities to setting necessary legal acts by the law, to make specifications and amendments of editorial character for ensuring the application of the Agreement signed in the pension insurance between the EAEU member states.

The NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs endorsed the legislative package. According to the co-rapporteur Lilit Stepanyan, the amendments of the law are aimed at specifying functioning some regulations, which are related to the terms of the pension receiving, the list of the documents, the compliance the provisions of some laws regulating the sphere. The functioning regulations directly or indirectly promote that the same person will be a beneficiary of different structures on the same basis, or in the same case double refunds will be registered, etc. Taking into consideration this or other problems, the co-rapporteur urged his colleagues to vote for the package.
