In 2023 It is Designed to Implement 16 Budgetary Programmes in the Sphere of Labour and Social Protection

In 2023, 16 budgetary programmes with 110 measures are designed to implement in the sphere of labour and social protection: on July 12, the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan said about this during the debate of the preliminary version of the state budget for 2023 held in the Committees on Labour and Social Affairs and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Heriknaz Tigranyan and Gevorg Papoyan.

645 billion AMD is designed for 2023, about 642 billion AMD – on current expenditures, and 3 billion AMD – on new initiatives. In fact, the designed sum of money is more than 65.3 AMD or 11.3% than it was allocated in 2022.

Speaking about the programmes to be implemented and the current expenditures, it has been noted that the envisaging amendments are directed to demography, pension security, social support, the issues of the persons with disabilities, the rise of the efficiency and addressability of the programmes being implemented in the spheres of employment.

Touching upon the measures of the improvement of the demographic situation, the Minister noted that in 2023 more than 47 million AMD is designed in this direction, which is more than 52.4% than it was allocated in 2022.

Within the framework of the measures it is planned to appoint benefit for the care of an up to two years old child also to the city dweller, unemployed parents, whose child will be born on January 1, 2023 and after that. During the 2023-2025 mid-term period, it is designed to set benefit: according to the years the following amounts – 30.700 AMD, 32.800 AMD and 34.900 AMD (instead of the current 28.600 AMD). In fact, the working rural parents will continue receiving as a working and rural persons.

According to the Minister, special attention was paid to the rise of the pension amounts (working, military), which is planned to implement in three stages. The increase of the designing budget being designed in 2023 for this purpose. As a priority of the Government, the Minister also underlined the importance of the implementation of the housing security programmes and noted that 2 measures out of 3 included in the presented new initiatives on the bid budget are aimed at this very goal. Regarding the services of the being rendered the families, the women and children, Narek Mkrtchyan presented that the budget designed for 2023 is 43.0% more that in 2022. The increase of the sum is mainly conditioned by the increase of the beneficiaries’ number, as well as by the expansion of some services.
