The distinctive features of the trademarks, which were obtained towards the goods and services, for which a registration bid was presented, were specified by legislative package, for which the approaches on not providing own maintenance to the elements not being preserved in the trademarks.

It is proposed make amendments by the package of the draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the law on Trademarks, on Making Amendments to the RA Civil Code, complying it with the Treaty on Eurasian Economic Union, the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, as well as the provisions of the Treaty on Trademarks, Service Signs and Place Names of Goods Origin. The RA Deputy Minister of Economy Armen Arzumanyan said about this during the regular sitting of the fifth session of the NA eighth convocation convened on January 16.

According to the Deputy Minister, besides that some errors appeared there in the practice of the use of the provisions designed by the RA Law on Trademarks, and it is necessary to set clear approaches for the regulation of their solution, as well as other procedure provisions.

As the Deputy Minister of Economy informed, by the adoption of the law, the efficiency of the enforcement of the law will be improved, the possibility of the unambiguous use of the provisions set by that, as well as the solutions of the problems caused in practice will be provided.
