The RA NA President Alen Simonyan and the Member of the Delegation the RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan being in the capital of the State of Qatar met with the Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) Khalifa Jassim Al-Kuwari.
Touching upon the interest of Armenia in the development of the relations with Qatar, the RA NA President enumerated a number of profile priorities by our country. According to him, there is great opportunity of cooperation in the spheres of culture, health and education., which are the prior strategic branches of the Fund for Development. Regarding the perspective of collaboration in the sphere of science, education and culture, the RA NA President mentioned multi thousand manuscripts and books in Arabic letters being kept in Matenadaran, proposing to organize joint scientific-research work and mutual exhibitions.
The Director General of the Fund noted that in every sphere they highlight the human resources, on the basis of which the projects of the upcoming possible cooperation will be made and discussed with the responsible employees of the appropriate spheres of Armenia.
“We expect in Armenia the historic visit of the Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. It will be desirable to work out certain substantive programmes before the visit,” Alen Simonyan concluded.
The RA Minister of Health presented brief information on the important links promoting the possible investments in the sphere of health.
