On February 3, the Standing Committee on Health Care moderated by Narek Zeynalyan convened a sitting, during which debated in the second reading and endorsed two legislative initiatives included in the agenda.

The authors of the draft law on Making Addenda to the law on Drugs and the package of the enclosed presented draft laws are the deputies of the Civil Contract Narek Zeynalyan and Lusine Badalyan. The authors accepted the proposals of the technical character presented by the Government.

Answering the question of the deputy Armenuhi Kyureghyan, the co-author Narek Zeynalyan noted that in our country the drug should be registered in order the entity will have an opportunity to import and sell it within the framework of the law. “About 3500-3600 drugs are registered in the Republic of Armenia,” the deputy underlined and opined that imposing milder sanctions for importing non registered drugs is not acceptable. In terms of making more accessible the medicine for the population Armenuhi Kyureghyan highlighted the expansion of the registered medicines’ list.

The Government proposes to remove from the list of the entities subject to privatization by the amendment of the law on State Property Privatisation Programme for 2017-2020 the CJSC Production Centre of Radioisotopes carrying out activities from June 2020, taking into consideration the fact it is the only one in the region by the isotope production function. The RA Deputy Minister of Health Armen Nazaryan presented the item. It was noted that the Government made technical amendment from the first to the second reading.

At the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care the annual schedule for 2023 of the organization of the citizens’ reception was set by the decision of the Committee.
