On February 7, the National Assembly began the work of the regular sittings. The deputies approved the drafts on Making Addenda on the agenda of the fifth session of the eighth convocation of the National Assembly and of the agenda of the regular sittings to be convened on February 7.

The RA NA President Alen Simonyan informed that pursuant to Article 53 of the constitutional law the Rules of Procedure, with the official document at least 1/5 of the total number of the NA deputies proposed to hold the debate of the petition with the secret stamp of the RA Prosecutor General on giving consent to initiate public criminal persecution towards the NA deputy Seyran Ohanyan in the NA closed sitting. As a result of voting, the debate of the issue will be held in the closed sitting.

Alen Simonyan also informed that with the official document at least 1/5 of the total number of the NA deputies proposed to hold the debate on the urgent topic the Situation created in the RA Armed Forces and the Urgent Things to do of public interest.

This decision was also adopted.

By the NA decision during the debate of the abovementioned issue the RA Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan will make a report.

The parliament began the debate of the agenda items. Let us note that the NA opposition Armenia Faction did not take part in the sitting.
