On the 35^th anniversary of the massacre of Armenians in Sumgait on 27-29 February 1988, led by the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan and the members of the Security Council visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial to pay tribute to the victims of the crime.

The high-ranking officials laid a wreath and flowers to the cross stones (khachkars) perpetuating the memory of the Armenians who died in the massacres organized by the Azerbaijani government in the cities of Sumgait, Kirovabad (Gandzak) and Baku.
