At February 28 extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs the draft law on Compensation of Damages Caused to the Servicemen’s Life or Health during defense of the Republic of Armenia was debated.

The Committee Chair Heriknaz Tigranyan noted that the Government presented proposals of editorial character on the draft law,

The deputy of the RA NA Armenia Faction Gegham Nazaryan also introduced four proposals. He particularly, proposed to preserve the compensation money being given for the servicemen who received 1^st and 2^nd group disability during the military actions that they had received un to the 3^rd group disability.

The Committee Chair Heriknaz Tigranyan noted that the presented amendments are radical. The proposals were not accepted: working discussion will be held with the Government on the issue.

The Committee voted for the revised version of the draft law.
