On March 14, the Head of Iraq-Armenia Friendship Group of Parliament of the Republic of Iraq being in Yerevan on an official visit Mohammad Sadik Mohammad, the Deputy Head of the Group Watban Jameel Mansoor Abdulazeez, the members of the Friendship Group, the Officer on Armenia of the Department of Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, diplomat Muhammed Hatif Mujlly Alshuwaily visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.
The guests laid flowers at the Eternal Fire perpetuating the memory of the Armenian Genocide and paid respects in one minute’s silence the memory of Holy Martyrs.
They have also been in the Genocide Museum-Institute, have got acquainted with the documents proving the massacre and observed the exhibits.
The Head of Iraq-Armenia Friendship Group of Parliament of the Republic of Iraq Mohammad Sadik Mohammad left a note in the Memory Book of Honourable Guests: “The Genocide that Armenian people were subjected by Turks, Ottomans, is against humanity. We hope that it will not be repeated in the future. We wish the Armenian people and the state all the best.”
