On March 14, the Vice President of the RA National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan received the Head of Iraq-Armenia Friendship Group of the House of Representatives of Iraq Mohammad Sadik Mohammad.
Welcoming the Iraqi parliamentarians, Ruben Rubinyan underscored that in recent years the inter-parliamentary relations activated. According to the NA Vice President, the two peoples have friendly traditions and ties of thousands of years, which serve as a firm basis for inter-state cooperation.
The sides spoke about the opportunities of cooperation in the economic, cultural, educational spheres.
The Head of Iraq-Armenia Friendship Group thanked the NA Vice President for warm reception. He noted that they visited Armenia to develop the collaboration at parliamentary level.
The guests mentioned that they support the efforts of the Armenian side aimed at establishing peace in the region.
