In NA Standing Committees debates of budget execution continue: This year little water is stored, and probably, there will be a problem for letting out additional water quantity

On the previous day, the maximum quantity of water from Lake Sevan was not let out. In 2022, maximum 170mln m3 water was established for being let out, but 165.1mln m3 was let out. In 2021, 227mln m3 . This year, little water is stored, the year will be difficult, and probably, there will be a problem for letting out additional water quantity, We’ll do our best in order to mitigate the lack of water with alternative certain steps. In fact, at certain moment we’ll be obliged to debate with the National Assembly the problem of letting out additional quantity of water from Lake Sevan, the current situation and numbers testify to that. Water is little, especially in big reservoirs of Akhuryan, Azatan, Aparan. The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan said about this, presenting the budget 2022 execution of the Ministry at the joint sitting of the NA Standing Committees on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection.

Continuing the theme, the Deputy Minister noted that preparatory works of building 15 reservoirs of small and medium size are going on.

146 measures were included in 24 programmes being implemented by the Ministry, 247.7bln AMD was allocated, 235.2bln AMD out of which with expenditure programmes, and 12.4bln AMD – in the form of sub-loans included in deficit financing. 234.6bln AMD was actually spent from the mentioned sums of money, 223bln AMD with expenditure programmes, the performance was 95%. According to the Deputy Minister, the differences of currency exchange rate had a role in the issue of performance. According to him, if it were not, then then the performance would be higher.

Vache Terteryan underlined that in 2021, the 214.7bln AMD was provided to the Ministry. 95.7bln AMD was for the capital expenditures, here the performance was 90.7%. 127bln AMD was directed to current expenditures.

The expenditures implemented in the water sphere was 29bln AMD, 6 0 programmes with 35 measures. 9.1bln AMD was spent for energy sphere, 4 programmes with 10 measures. In the territorial administration sphere 111.2bln AMD was spent, the performance was 97%. 11 programmes and 72 measures were implemented.

The Deputy Minister presented in detail the implemented programmes and their performances, answered the MPs’ questions, which related to the construction of reservoirs, the importance of the proportional development of the communities, subsidy programmes, the elimination of the damages caused because of ravines, the ineffective work of the Council of Elders of the communities, the issue of the participation of the subsidy programmes by the Government.
