Nikol Pashinyan: Chains engaged in VAT refund fraud are revealed: There are detainees
1 / 2

As a result of the economic activity of 2022, we have made significant progress. Gurgen Arsenyan said this during the NA-Government Q&A session and noted that the VAT (value added tax) process is welcoming, but there are concerns regarding the legality: a group of fraudsters was formed, which is engaged in the VAT refund fraud, and damage is being done to the country’s state budget. The deputy raised the alarm that the problem is getting worse and asked whether options to prevent the problem are being debated.

The Prime Minister of the country responded to the question and confirmed that the mentioned problem exists.

“There are criminal cases, detainees, recovery of large amounts, discovery of chains and disruption of their work, there is also an initiative to make a legislative amendment so that these chains cannot operate under the illusion of legality,” the RA Prime Minister said.
