On November 6, the Head of the RA NA With Honor Faction Hayk Mamijanyan and the deputy of the Faction Taguhi Tovmasyan met with the co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Monitoring Committee on Armenia Kimmo Kiljunen and Boriana Åberg.

The deputies drew the co-rapporteurs’ attention to the genocidal actions committed by the Azerbaijani authorities against our compatriots, the necessity to ensure the status, asylum, job for the forcibly displaced Armenians from Nagorno- Karabakh, as well as the problems of Armenian prisoners of war held in Baku until now, the missing people.

At the meeting, the members of the With Honor Faction also touched upon, as they assured, the violations of democratic values in the Republic of Armenia, the criminal cases as a tool to suppress the opposition, in particular, the detention as the cases of punishment, the pressures and inner-political other developments carried out against the RPA Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan, Narek Malyan, Tatev Virabyan and about five dozen other political prisoners by their characterization.
