On August 9 Mr. Mnatsakan Petrosyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on Social Affairs, Health Care and Environment, received Mrs. Elizabeth Danielyan, head of the Armenian Office of World Health Organization (WHO).

The discussion was focused on the projects, that are planned to be implemented in Armenia in the sphere of healthcare by WHO during 2006-2007. Mr.Mnatsakan Petrosyan emphasized the importance of the problems of the elaboration of health care policy. The issues of immunization in Armenia were also discussed.

Mrs. Elizabeth Danielyan stressed the primary importance of carrying out effective child vaccination. During the discussion the parties reached an agreement on the ways of further cooperation as well as on information exchange.

The issues of cooperation in the sphere of health care aimed at the solution of the problems of health care and legislation were also discussed.
