At May 22 extraordinary sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs the addenda being proposed in the RA Civil Code were debated in the second reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Economy Rafayel Gevorgyan presented to the Committee the proposals of the Government on the draft law. In particular, it was proposed to change the term on the law entering into force: It will enter into force not three months after the official publication, but the next day of other official publication. It was noted that other proposals are of technical and editorial character.

The key rapporteur, the member of the Committee Lilit Minasyan called on her colleagues to vote for the revised version of the draft law.

The Committee endorsed the legislative initiative of the Government.
