According to the Article 20 of the RA law Rules of Procedure, the Speaker of the National Assembly Mr Tigran Torosyan, after submitting his resignation from the post of the Speaker of the National Assembly on September 19 at the NA extraordinary session, after five days, on September 26 submitted his second application to the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Mr Hrayr Karapetyan, by which his resignation was considered accepted.

According to the 2^nd item of the Article 19 of the RA law Rules of Procedure, the obligations of the Speaker of the National Assembly will perform the NA Vice Speaker Mr Hrayr Karapetyan.

The election of the Speaker of the National Assembly is envisaged on September 29 at the NA four-day sittings.
