RA NA President Assembly Receives the Newly Appointed Ambassador of the Netherlands to Armenia

On October 30 President of the National Assembly Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Armenia Mr. Peter Jan Langeberg.

Welcoming the guest the President of the Parliament congratulated him on the occasion of assuming the position. Mr. Abrahamyan expressed his confidence that due to the Ambassador’s activity it will be possible to develop the bilateral relations, raising it to a new level. In that context he highly assessed the Armenian-Dutch inter-parliamentary contacts, as well as highlighted the cooperation in the political, trade-economic and cultural spheres. President of the National Assembly expressed hope that the Netherlands will continue promoting Armenia’s Euro-integration process, using the possibilities given to EU Eastern Partnership programme.

During the meeting at the request of the Ambassador of the Netherlands the President of the Armenian Parliament presented the Armenian side’s positions in the issues of the settlement of the Artsakh problem and normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations without preconditions. The interlocutors also touched upon the world financial-economic crisis and its impact on Armenia’s economy.
