RA National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan Participates in Artavazd Annual Award-Giving Ceremony of RA Union of Theatrical Figures

On March 27 RA National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan participated in Artavazd Annual award-giving ceremony of RA Union of Theatrical Figures, which took place in Yerevan Hakob Paronian Musical Comedy Theatre, which this year was dedicated to the 105th anniversary of Vardan Achemian and Arus Asrian.

The Chairman of RA Union of Theatrical Figures Hakob Ghazanchyan noted that Hovik Abrahamyan is the only state official, who in 1996 enjoyed Artavazd award for the attitude towards theatre.

In his speech RA National Assembly Speaker congratulated the figures of the theatrical world on the occasion of the International Day of Theatre, wishing cultural limitless fervour, longevity, solidarity, tolerance and welfare. Hovik Abrahamyan noted that today in our theatrical life lively events take place from the repertoire of the performances to festivals. In the opinion of the Speaker of the National Assembly, the population of the provinces should more actively take part in the theatrical, in general, cultural life. In this context he proposed to hold the next Artavazd award-giving ceremony, more concretely in Artashat and express his willingness for support.
