The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment at April 1 sitting presided over by Khachik Harutyunyan discussed and approved a legislative package: On Amending the Law on Ecological Control, On Implementing Self-Control Towards the Fulfillment of the Demands of Ecological Legislation and On Making Addenda and Amendments on Administrative Infringements. The Committee envisages debating the issue during the upcoming four-day sittings, passing it in the second reading.

The NA Standing Committee on Social Affairs, presided over by Hakob Hakobyan, decided to postpone the debate of 12 bills and legislative packages up to 15, 60 and 90 days.

On the same day at the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport presided over by Artak Davtyan the report On 2009 Activity of the National Commission of Television and Radio, which presented the Chairman of the Commission Grigor Amalyan. The report will be debated in the NA plenary session.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan proposed to present for debate at NA plenary session a more clarified and edited report on all directions of the activity of the commission.

Other issues were also included in the agenda of the sitting, the debate of which was postponed by the authors’ proposal.
