On June 25 the Speaker of RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to the Republic of Armenia Miguel Angel Cuneo. The Speaker of RA National Assembly congratulated the Ambassador in connection with the appointment and expressed confidence that his experience and abilities will promote the development of the Armenian-Argentinean relations. Hovik Abrahamyan noted that the far distance between the two countries would not impede the activation of political and economic bilateral relations, and as Speaker of the National Assembly he would do his best for promoting it. The Head of the Armenian Parliament considered important the development of inter-parliamentary relations, noting that the Armenian-Argentinean parliamentary group functions in RA National Assembly.

The Ambassador of Argentina thanked for reception and conveyed the greetings of the Speakers of the Chamber of Deputies and Senate of Argentina. The interlocutors noted that the opening of the Embassy of Argentina in Armenia would promote the enlivening of bilateral relations. The necessity of deepening the relations and activation of contacts between the business circles through business forums was underlined, which will enable the businessmen of the two countries to know each other better and be aware of opportunities.

RA National Assembly Speaker expressed willingness to support the implementation of all programs and formation of necessary legislative field.
