On Spetmeber 7 the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and internal Affairs organized parliamentary hearings for debating the RA draft law Disciplinary Regulations of RA Armed Forces, where the NA deputies, representatives of RA Defense Ministry, NGOs and mass media took part.

The Chairman of RA NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Hrayr Karapetyan noted in his opening speech that the necessity of the law was evident.

The RA Defence Minister Deputy Ara Nazaryan presented the necessity of the adoption of the law.

The Deputy Head of the Legal Department of RA Defence Ministry Sasun Simonyan introduced the solutions of the existing problems in the sphere being proposed by the draft law and the results being expected in case of use.

The representative of the Civil Society Institute Arman Danielyan noted that the law would work only in case if the provisions referring to the order of solution, conditions of maintenance and order of complaining were specified.

Those who gave speeches answered numerous questions, which related to the order of complaining, the activity disciplinary battalion, the improvement of the moral-psychological atmosphere of the army, the details of the use of encouragement and penalty.

The Chairman of RA NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Hrayr Karapetyan thanked the participants of the debate for the remarks and proposals made on the bill and asked them to present all of them to the committee to debate them at the September 9 sitting.
