On September 29 the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth Artak Davtyan received the members of the Television and Radio National Committee Koryun Arakelyan, Hayk Kotanyan, Aram Melkonyan and Armen Mkrtchyan.

During the meeting by RA President’s proposal the parties touched upon the activity of the working group, which was created by the Human Rights Defender, and the representative of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth should be introduced in that group. The working group should present proposals on the bill envisaging amendments and addenda to RA law on Television and Radio. Both sides emphasized the activity of the abovementioned group in the view of more improving and upgrading the law. The Television and Radio National Committee voiced the issue of the worse working and building conditions, which impeded the effective activity of the committee.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth Artak Davtyan promised to visit and get familiarized with the working conditions of the Television and Radio National Committee. In his opinion, similar meetings should be of more regular nature. At the end of the meeting Mr. Davtayn noted that the presented proposals would be submitted to NA President.

In the course of the meeting other issues were discussed too.
