On the evening of November 22 the delegation led by RA NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan will leave for the Syrian Arab Republic. The delegation comprises of the head of the RPA faction Galust Sahakyan, the head of the ARF faction Vahan Hovhannisyan, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment Khachik Harutyunyan, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Aram Safaryan, the deputies Anahit Bakhshyan, Surik Poghosyan, Martin Sargsyan, the Chief of Staff Gegham Gharibjanyan.

In Damascus RA NA Speaker will have meetings with the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad, the Speaker of the People’s Council of the Syrian Arab Republic Mahmoud al-Abrash, the Prime Minister Naji Otri. Hovik Abrahamyan will deliver a speech in the session of the People’s Council of the Syrian Arab Republic. In the People’s Council of the Syrian Arab Republic an expanded meeting of the delegations of the Republic of Armenia and the Syrian Arab Republicwill be held. The speakers of the parliaments of the two countries will sign a Memorandum of Understanding. The delegation led by RA NA Speaker will also visit the Damascus Armenian Diocese Primacy.

In Aleppo the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan will meet with the governor Ali Ahmad Mansura, the Chief Mufti of the Syrian Arab Republic Badr ad-Din Hassun and will take part in the exhibition of the goods of the Armenian production.

In Deir ez-Zor the delegation led by the NA Speaker will meet the Governor Hussein Arnus and the members of the state power. The parliamentarians will visit Surp Nahatakatz/St. Martyrs Church, the Memorial Complex of the Armenian Genocide victims, where they will pay tribute to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims. Meeting with the representatives of the Armenian community is also scheduled.
