NA Speaker Visits Raffi Hovhannisyan
1 / 2

On March 25 the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan visited the member of the Heritage faction Raffi Hovhannisyan being on hunger strike in the Liberty Square. The head of the parliament urged Raffi Hovhannisyan to stop the hunger strike, return to the National Assembly and take part in the works of the legislative body, as the parliament is a better tribune for raising problems and debating them. Mr Abrahamyan noted that during the previous four-day sittings, for example, the bill on Freedom of Assemblies, and it will be better that the opposition Heritage faction would sound its proposals on those draft laws. “We miss your faction in the parliament, and I urge you to return to the parliament,” the NA Speaker said.

Raffi Hovhannisyan thanked Hovik Abrahamyan for the visit. He noted that maybe in near future he would accept the NA Speaker’s exhortation on stopping the hunger strike.

After meeting Raffi Hovhannisyan the NA Speaker answered the question of the mass media representatives, after which many citizens approached Mr Abrahamyan, presented their concerns and problems. The head of the parliament gladly listened to all of them and promised to support them.

We’ll note that the representatives of the parliamentary factions also visited Raffi Hovhannisyan.
