Students of the Schools of Yerevan Erebuni Administrative District Take Part in the Open Lesson

At the next four-day sittings of the National Assembly, which began on April 11, within the framework of the NA Open Lesson programme the students of the schools of Yerevan Erebuni Administrative District took part. Then, according to tradition, they met the Speaker of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan. The talk with the head of the parliament gave opportunity to the schoolchildren to get familiarized with the structure, order of formation, activity of the National Assembly, as well as to get answers to their questions regarding the foreign policy, educational, social and economic spheres.

The NA Speaker underlined the important role of the parliamentary diplomacy and the activation of the delegations’ works, especially in the European structures, as well as touched upon the processes of the Armenian-Turkish relations’ normalization and the settlement of the NK conflict.

Hovik Abrahamyan noted that the prior task for the solution of the social problems was to develop the economy. And the government takes respective steps to it.

Highlighting such meetings with the schoolchildren the Speaker of the parliament noted that they were opportunities to get familiarized with the works of the legislative higher body and the MPs, which regularly were given to the students of the schools of the republic. Besides, Hovik Abrahamyan expressed willingness to visit the schools, which they represented.

From the view of familiarizing with the activity of the legisltive body to the young people the NA Speaker also considered important the creation of the Youth Parliament initiated by him, and the preparatory works for its formation were underway, the order of the formation and activity were at the final phase of the discussion.
