On May 31 twelve standing committees of the Youth Parliament convened the first sittings, having one item on the agenda – elections of the committee chairs.

As a result of votes the elected Chairs of the Standing Committee were as follows: Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood - Khachik Petrosyan , Standing Committee on Foreign Relations - Harutiun Azgaldyan, Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport - Karlen Khachatryan, Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment - Zina Aloyan, Standing Committee on European Integration - Arevik Navoyan , Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs - Narek Vanesyan , Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs - Gegham Petrosyan, Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs - Gohar Hakobyan , Standing Committee on Social Affairs - Diana Garakyan , Standing Committee on Territorial Management and Local Self-Government - Karen Margaryan , Standing Committee on Economic Affairs - Vladimir Gevorgyan , Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs - Makar Yeghiazaryan.
