“The Georgian official has made an absurd statement far from reality,” RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said, in response to the statement made the other day by the Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Fridon Todua in Baku: “Georgia and Azerbaijan will return the occupied territories, as they are their lands.”
“For Todua’s information let me inform him that no official of Armenia has ever made a non-correct statement pertaining to the problems of the third country."
I would recommend that the Deputy Speaker get acquainted with the historical tradition of his people: “Kartlis Tskhovreba,” where the native nations of this region are distinctly mentioned. Both Armenians and Georgians are mentioned in the work, whereas there is no word about the Azerbaijanis in “Kartlis Tskhovreba.”
Probably, after learning the textbook truth Todua will apologize to his neghbouring nation,” Sharmazanov concluded.
