On February 3 the RA National Assembly Speaker Samvel Nikoyan received Katherine Jane Leach, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia.
Welcoming the guest and congratulating her on the occasion of the appointment the NA Speaker has noted that a rather extended field of developing the bilateral and multilateral relations between Armenia and Great Britain is in place both at the level of two states and European structures. The National Assembly has its participation in it, and Samvel Nikoyan expressed willingness as the Speaker of the Parliament to support the extension of the cooperation.
Thanking for the reception the Ambassador of Great Britain has stated that she will contribute her experience and abilities to different spheres for promoting the development of the bilateral relations.
It was mutually emphasized, in particular, the complete formation of legal-contractual field regulating the economic sphere of the relations, which would ensure the advancement of reciprocally beneficial cooperation.
At the meeting they also touched upon other issues of regional and bilateral interest.
