On September 2 the delegation of the Republic of Armenia led by the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan took part in the festive events dedicated to the 21st anniversary of Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh in Stepanakert.
The delegation members are RA Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan, NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, deputies Galust Sahakyan, Rubik Hakobyan, Vardan Ayvazyan, Artak Zakaryan, Koryun Nahapetyan, Elinar Vardanyan, Margarit Yesayan, Naira Karapetyan, Artur Gevorgyan, Mikael Melkumyan, Vahan Hovhannisyan, Hovhannes Margaryan, Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan, Governor of Gegharkunik marz Rafik Grigoryan, Governor of Syunik marz Surik Khachatryan and other officials.
In the morning the RA delegation together with the NKR political and military higher leadership marched from the Renaissance Square of the capital of Artsakh to the Memorial Complex, where laid a wreath and flowers at the memorial of the victims for the freedom and independence of Artsakh and at the tombs of freedom fighters.
The RA delegation took part in the organized festive events, visited Shushi. The members of the delegation laid flowers at the memorial on the outskirts of the city and paid tribute to the memory of the hero freedom fighters, then laid flowers at Vazgen Sargsyan’s monument, visited Saint All-Saviour Ghazanchetzotz Cathedral in Shushi.
In the talk with the journalists the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan once again congratulated the Artsakh people and the whole Armenian people in connection with the anniversary of the Declaration of the NKR Independence.
The RA delegation returns to Yerevan tonight.
