Meeting in the NA ANC Faction

On March 12 the Secretary of the RA NA Armenian National Congress (ANC) Aram Manukyan met with the Head of the Northern and Eastern Europe Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Mrs Eliška Žigová . The Charges d’Affaires of the Czech Republic to the RA Petr Mikyska and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic Ivan Jestřáb were also attending the meeting.

As a member of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration and of the Board of the European Liberal Democratic and Reforms Party, Aram Manukyan documented the importance of European integration and expressed readiness of cooperation.

In the course of the meeting the interlocutors touched upon the post-electoral processes. The Secretary of the ANC faction called on the international structures and especially, the observation missions to focus on the electoral processes.

Aram Manukyan has informed the guests that the ANC is intended to take part in the upcoming elections of Yerevan Elders. He has noted that the negotiations with other parliamentary forces on taking part with united list in the elections have not ended yet.

The official of the Foreign Minsitry of the Czech Republic has been interested in the fact if the opposition sees inclination of reforms, and in general, of changes. The Secretary of the ANC faction has documented the positive moves in the freedom of mass media, he has also underlined that the political situation is not comparable with the one in 2008, it has been considerably improved.

The interlocutors also touched upon regional problems, the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and its format, the Armenian-Turkish relations and other issues.
