On April 26 the RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan met with the Chairpersons of the committees and the heads of the group-factions of the Youth Parliament (YP). The NA President was interested in the procedure of the YP works, the existing problems and the possibilities of the rise of efficiency of the activities were discussed. Hovik Abrahamyan urged the young MPs to be more initiative, purposeful and consistent. He highlighted the activation of cooperation with the subunits and members of the Youth Parliament with the NA relevant committees and other structures and the joint debates of the legislative initiatives. “You are given wide opportunities, in the parliament we are open for cooperation, and it depends on your initiative with what initiative you will use what is given to you, how purposeful you will make use of this peculiar structure of experience,” the President of the National Assembly noted.

Hovik Abrahamyan also answered the questions concerning the YP members and a number of recommendations enjoyed joint debate. In particular, the Head of the Parliament also highlighted the cooperation of the Youth Parliament with foreign similar structures, and the necessity of the purposeful work being undertaken out of parliament was underlined. The NA President expressed readiness to support the proposal of the YP members of setting up a park “Youth Parliament.”
