On September 17 the Head of Armenia-Germany Friendship Group Artak Davtyan, members Karine Poghosyan, Shirak Torosyan, Mikayel Melkumyan and Tevan Poghosyan met with the scientists of Berlin Humboldt University.
In the course of the meeting a number of issues relating to the development of the Armenian-German educational and cultural ties were discussed.
The members of Armenia-Germany Friendship Group expressed readiness to support the implementation of the educational programmes, which are aimed at more developing and deepening of the Armenian-German relations. The programme of giving an opportunity to the students and young people from Armenia to have experience in German Bundestag was highlighted. It was noted that in future the German students will also have an opportunity to visit the Armenian Parliament within the framework of that programme. The members of Armenia-Germany Friendship Group touched upon the importance of opening of German University in Armenia.
The German scientists informed those present that the Humboldt University together with the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University implements a scientific-educational programme in the sphere of criminal law and has a goal to begin programmes with other educational institutions. They highlighted the deepening of cooperation between the educational institutions of the two countries and the implementation of new programmes.
