On October 9 the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan met with the members of the initiative Days of Legislative Agenda Discussion and Social Network.

During the meetings in the marzes the members of the initiative Days of Legislative Agenda Discussion studied and submitted a number of issues. At the beginning of the meeting those present discussed the involvement of the pupils of senior school in the community programmes, proposing to include it as a necessary component of teaching. They highlighted the pupils' participation in the community programmes and events.

The Committee Chairman proposed them to study the experience of Tsaghkunk community school of Gegharkunik marz. In his word, by the efforts of the director of the school Tigran Hakobyan, there is a close cooperation between the school and rural community, which promotes the pupils’ working upbringing and the formation of the value system.

The participants of the meeting discussed the issue of the necessity of the investment of mechanisms of reporting and transparency. The representatives of the social network have documented that almost all schools have website, however they give limited information about the school every day life, budget, the activity of the pupils and the parents’ committees.

In the Committee Chairman’s opinion, the basis of the education is the general education, the citizen of the state is formed, hence the society should be informed about the implementing programees at school.

At the end of the meeting Artak Davtyan proposed to discuss with the Ministry of Education and Science the list of compulsory publication of the presenting information by schools.
