The RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan met with the Delegation led by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas.

Welcoming the Lithuanian guests Mrs Naghdalyan touched upon the Armenian-Lithuanian friendship, the similarity of the two peoples’ destinies, the fighting for independence. The NA Deputy Speaker documented that Lithuania was the first to recognize the independence of the Republic of Armenia and in future had always supported Armenia in the issues of the Eastern Partnership and cooperation with the European Union. By Hermine Naghdalyan’s assessment, the creation of the Republic of Lithuania-Republic of Artsakh Friendship Group in the Seimas of Lithuania witnesses the solidarity, adhering to all-human values of the two peoples.

At the request of the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas the NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan introduced the priorities of the RA foreign policy, the problems connected with the security of the country and the regional security, as well as the Customs Union membership. Mrs Naghdalyan highlighted the necessity of continuing the dialogue with the European Union.
