On October 12 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received the President of the World Armenian Congress (WAC) and the Union of Armenians of Russia (UAR) Ara Abrahamyan.

The NA President Hovik Abrahamyan highly appreciated the role of the Union of Armenians of Russia and the World Armenian Congress in strengthening Armenia-Diaspora relationship. He highlighted the cooperation with the National Assembly, noting that all preconditions were available for the development of the relations and implementation of concrete programmes.

Thanking for the reception Ara Abrahamyan has presented the work done by the Union of Armenians of Russia and the World Armenian Congress and the further activities and has noted that the organization is one of the most spread social and national structures and has its participation and contribution to different national-public issues. He has also highlighted the cooperation with the National Assembly and proposed to create a working group, which will elaborate and will introduce partnership programmes. Ara Abrahamyan has noted that the structures led by him highlight the role of the Armenian youth and implement a series of programmes aimed at their consolidation.
