On September 21 in the NA Gilded Hall the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan handed over the NA Medal of Honour to the Manager of the Bank of Sharzha Varuzhan Nerguizian, the Chairman of the Capriole Construction Organization, Architect Hrayr Soghomonyan, the RA Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Gegham Gharibjanyan for strengthening relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates and the big contribution to the Armenian people’s spiritual-cultural life. The NA President Hovik Abrahamyan also handed over a souvenir to Hamid Dila Jafari, the representative of the member of the UAE Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharzha Emirate, Sheikh Doctor Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi.

Handing over the medals and congratulating those awarded the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan noted that the delegation was in Armenia with important mission – for taking part in the blessing ceremony of Haghartsin Reconstruction Monastery Complex. Mr Abrahamyan said that the programme of Haghartsin Restoration and Reconstruction Monastery Complex had been implemented by the sponsorship of the member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ruler of Sharzha Emirate, Sheikh Doctor Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi. Hovik Abrahamyan on his behalf and on behalf of the parliament thanked Sheikh Al-Qassimi for donation. “This step once again substantiated the friendship of the Armenian and Arab peoples and strengthened it,” the Head of the parliament underlined. He has sent words of gratitude to Mr Al-Qassimi for warm and respectful attitude that the authorities of Sharzha have towards our compatriots. “As RA NA President I am ready to do utmost for more strengthening and developing the relations between the two countries,” Mr Abrahamyan said.

Those awarded thanked the NA President for appreciating their work and enjoying the NA high award.
