Open Lesson in the National Assembly

On October 23 within the framework of the NA Open Lesson programme the pupils of Grigor Zohrap Senior School N 43 were hosted in the parliament. First they attended the NA sitting, then the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan received them.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan and the member of the Committee Ruzanna Muradyan were taking part in the meeting.

Cordially welcoming the pupils’ visit to the legislative body of the country the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan also highlighted similar meetings and their continuity. The Head of the Parliament highly assessed efforts and mission of  school, teachers for educating generations and upbringing citizens worth for society and state. He urged the pupils to use “the golden years” purposefully and get knowledge, study foreign languages well, as knowledge is the potential based on which our country should develop.

During the warm and sincere talk the NA Speaker answered the pupils’ various questions, presented the directions of the foreign policy of our country, touched upon the Armenian-Turkish protocols and regional problems, the issues of the settlement of the NK conflict, the rise of the fees in the higher educational institutions and unemployment.

The Committee Chairman introduced the functions of the legislative body, the functions and spheres of the standing committees, referred to the legislative amendments of the sphere of education.

The teacher of History of Grigor Zohrap School Narine Gevorgyan thanked the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan for conducting an instructive open lesson and for the warm reception.
