On October 27 at the monument created by Yervand Kochar in the National Assembly Park a memorial ceremony was held. The RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan, the Vice Presidents Hermine Naghdalyan, Eduard Sharmazanov, the deputies, the representatives of the NA Staff paid tribute to the memory of the October 27, 1999 crime victims. The family members of the deceased state figures were also present at the ceremony. Those present laid flowers at the monument perpetuating the memory of the National Hero Karen Demirchyan, the RA National Hero Vazgen Sargsyan, Yuri Bakhshyan, Armenak Armenakyan, Ruben Miroyan, Mikayel Kotanyan, Henrik Abrahamyan and Leonard Petrosyan.

Rima Demirchyan thanked Hovik Abrahamyan, all the attendees that once they again had gathered to honour the victims’ memory and that this ceremony had become a tradition. Mrs Demirchyan expressed hope that this tradition would pass from one generation to another and would witness that October 27 had no expiry date, would always be remembered and would not be forgiven.
