Within the framework of the NA President’s official visit in the General Assembly of Uruguay the members of the NA Parliamentary Delegation had meetings with their counterparts.

The Armenian women deputies met with the women deputies of the Senate and the House of Representatives of Uruguay. The women parliamentarians discussed a series of issues of bilateral interest, pointed out the formats of cooperation, highlighted the cooperation in different dimensions. Women representing different political forces distinguished the format of the issues, around which the further cooperation was highlighted.

The Armenian parliamentarians’ next meeting was with the members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group and the Chairs of the Committees on Foreign Relations of the Senate and the House of Representatives. During the meeting they discussed the recent developments over the NK problem, a number of issues concerning Armenia and the region, touched upon the process of the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide. The NA deputies invited their counterparts to Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh: the invitation was gladly accepted.
