On December within the framework of the NA “Open Lesson” Programme the students of Yerevan V. Brusov State Linguistic University were hosted in the parliament. The young people took part in the first sitting of the last four-day sittings of the NA autumn session. After following the sitting and getting acquainted with the agenda, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan conducted the “Open Lesson” with the students. At the beginning of the meeting the Committee Chairman presented the guests, who visited the parliament, the NA structure, talked about the functions and authorities of the 12 Standing Committees, especially distinguishing the committee led by him. During about one hour sincere talk the students of the Faculty of Management addressed questions concerning the most different spheres to Artak Davtyan. They mainly related to the educational and constitutional reforms and the economic sphere. The students also touched upon the item on passing to the Accumulative pension system and Armenia’s decision of joining the Customs Union. In the course of the talk Artak Davtyan also touched upon the NA oversight functions.
