On March 4 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received Sorin Vasile, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the RA.

In the course of the meeting issues concerning the development of the Armenian-Romanian inter-state and inter-parliamentary relations were discussed. The NA President congratulated the Ambassador on assuming the post and wished him effective work, expressing conviction that he would have considerable contribution in the deepening of Armenian-Romanian relations. Hovik Abrahamyan deemed important the development of the political and economic relations between Armenia and Romania. In this context he reserved special place to the inter-parliamentary relations and parliamentary diplomacy.

Thanking for the reception, the Ambassador of Romania assured that during his tenure he would do his utmost to further develop and strengthen the friendly relations between Romania and Armenia. Noting that the two countries have wonderful political relations, the Ambassador highlighted the further development of inter-parliamentary relations.

During the meeting issues pertaining to the regional recent developments were discussed, both sides emphasized the cooperation in international organizations.
