On March 14 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received Dagmar Bott, Head of the GIZ, the German Society for International Cooperation, Armenian Office and the representatives of the organisation.

The NA President highly assessed the lengthy effective cooperation of the National Assembly of Armenia and the German organisation in strengthening the capabilities of the parliament. The President of the Parliament has welcomed the continuity of the cooperation, which documents the progress of the cooperation in the key directions (reforms of the budgetary sphere, parliamentary oversight and foreign financial control).

Thanking for the reception Ms Bott has highlighted the effective implementation of the joint programmes between the GIZ and the Armenian side, particularly the parliament, and also has deemed important and necessary the continuity of the cooperation, noting that the programme is designed to implement in several phases until 2020.

In the course of the meeting other issues of bilateral interests were discussed and the directions of further cooperation were indicated.
