On May 13 the National Assembly continued the work of the extraordinary sitting. Before beginning the work by the proposal of the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan the deputies welcomed the students of the RA Public Administration who were hosted in the parliament within the NA Open Doors programme.

The deputies continued the debate of the bill in the first reading “On Amending RA Civil Code” interrupted in the previous sitting.

The deputies Arpine Hovhannisyan and Edmon Marukyan presented their endorsement and a number of recommendations on the draft law.

In his final speech the key speaker, the RA Deputy Justice Minister Arman Tatoyan deemed acceptable some part of the recommendations, expressing readiness to cooperate with the authors of the recommendations and find admissible formulations.

After the end of the debate the bill was put for voting: it passed in the first reading. The bills debated on the previous day also were passed, among them the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Accumulating Pensions.”

By the presentation of Vakhtang Mirumyan, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee adjunct to the RA Ministry of Finance, the parliament debated in the first reading the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Trade and Services.”

Exchange of thoughts took place on the bill: Vardan Ayvazyan, Mikael Melkumyan, Hovhannes Margaryan, Heghine Bisharyan and Edmon Marukyan expressed their views on the draft law.

Vakhtang Mirumyan in the first reading also introduced the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Accounting” and “On Amending the Customs Union of the Republic of Armenia.”

Vardan Ayvazyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The debate of the issue will continue at May 14 NA extraordinary sitting.
