On May 22 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan received Elita Gavele, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the RA.

The Ambassador congratulated Galust Sahakyan on the occasion of being elected the NA President and highlighted the further development and deepening of the Armenian-Latvian relations.

The sides highly assessed the level of political dialogue existing between the two countries, emphasized the further deepening of the inter-parliamentary cooperation, the cooperation in the international organizations. The cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership was mutually spotlighted.

In the course of the meeting both sides discussed the perspectives of the development of the bilateral relations and touched upon other issues of bilateral interest.
